Sunday School

St Paul’s welcomes all children to participate in our Christian Formation Program. If you are new, let a church member know and they will take you to the Sunday School room.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:30am and are held from September through May.

Our nursery is available for families to use as a quiet room with access to participate in worship through the livestream.

Pre-K – Due to Covid, the preschool class has joined with the K-5th Grade class for Mutli-Age Sunday School

When we resume our regular schedule, the preschool Children learn Bible Stories, participate in activities to reinforce the story, and attend Children’s Chapel. Preschoolers stay with their class for the entire church service. Parents are welcome to pick up their children and bring them into church for Holy Communion.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade – St. Paul’s Christian Education bases its lessons and activities on the Episcopal Church Calendar.  Lessons are taught through Bible Readings, songs, games and crafts. Children join their parents for Holy Communion after the sermon and announcements.

Service Sundays – The last Sunday of the each month dedicated to service projects. We strive to teach the children about helping others in our community.  Past projects have included: Souper Bowl of Caring, Christmas Angel Tree, making cards for Troops, and food preparation for our monthly Mission Kitchen at St. John’s in Elizabeth.

Messy Church!

We will resume our mid-week Christian Formation opportunity as the surge of Omicron decreases. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This 45minute-1hr gathering provides an additional (or alternative) Sunday School experience for your family. Each month we will explore a different theme and will provide a craft (sometimes stations), music,  story, and an agape meal (a light snack) for you and your family to enjoy!

The design of this is for all ages to come together in an intergenerational, informal worship and Christian education setting.

Communion Class

Families who are interested in having their children learn more about Holy Communion before receiving their first communion can participate in our annual Communion Class. The class usually takes place in November. A celebration of children who desire to receive Holy Communion for the takes place on the Sunday after the class.

Christmas Pageant – The Annual Christmas Pageant is held during our 4:00pm Christmas Eve Service. Children ages 3 through middle school participate in this wonderful production.
