Co-operative Sunday School

“The fourth ‘R’ in Your Child’s Education”

School age children enjoy Sunday School starting at 9:45 and then join their parents for Holy Communion after the sermon and announcements. St. Paul’s Christian Education bases its lessons and activities on the Episcopal Church Calendar. The Old and New Testament lessons read in church each Sunday will also be read to your school-age children in conjunction with age-appropriate activities and discussions.

Lectionary-based Christian Education can unify a family around Sunday’s scripture. Conversations about faith can spring up naturally around the dinner table, in your car or ‘wherever two or more are gathered.’

Through Bible Readings, songs, games and craft projects, we celebrate the fundamentals of our Episcopal Faith, our salvation through Our Lord Jesus Christ, and how we worship and conduct our lives. School age children enjoy Sunday School starting at 9:45 and then join their parents for Holy Communion after the sermon and announcements.

Our children and youth are very involved in outreach. Once a month during Sunday School the children, youth, and adult volunteers prepare a hot lunch for the homeless guests at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Elizabeth, NJ. Our older youth with adult supervision serve the hot lunch. Our children also are involved in food drives, making cards for our troops and giving their money to the Mercy Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
