Worship Services

Our calling as a congregation is to live our faith as deeply and devotedly as we can, and to be a house of prayer for all people. Services are open to the public, and we welcome you to worship in this holy space in the heart of Westfield.

Sunday Worship

Services at 7:45 AM and 10:00 AM

Our weekly services offer a rich tapestry of prayer, music, congregational singing, and spiritual reflection.

Rite I: Sunday 7:45 AM

The early service at St. Paul’s is a quiet and formal celebration of the Holy Eucharist according to Rite One. For those not familiar with the Prayer Book, Rite One is a liturgy, which uses the language of an earlier and cherished era, one which generations of Anglicans/Episcopalians have found meaningful. A small congregation enjoys the early morning quiet. Music is added at Christmas and Easter.

Rite II: Sunday 10:00 AM

This service is a dignified and yet accessible celebration of the Holy Eucharist (also known as Communion, The Lord’s Supper, The Mass) in what is called Rite II, reflecting the modern English usage of the 1979 Prayer Book revision. This, our main service of the day, is frequented by people of all ages, including families with children.

Children can enjoy our Sunday School programs starting at 9:45 a.m., with children in Kindergarten and older joining their parents for Holy Communion after the sermon. Music plays a large part of this service as we have our excellent choirs leading hymns, psalms, and the other sung portions of the liturgy. Children have opportunities to assist through our Primary and Junior choirs, acolyting, and reading lessons on special youth Sundays. Adults assist as Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters, Ushers and Lectors. The adult choirs welcome new members as well.

All baptized Christians, no matter what church affiliation, are welcome to receive communion. For more information, visit our Sacraments page.
